Product Description

The Original Vacu Vin Wine Saver was the first of many patented Vacu Vin inventions and the first of its kind on the market. Vacu Vin’ has revolutionized the wine preservation process. It is now used in over 35 million households and more than 80 countries throughout the world.

Product Features

Our wine preservation system uses a wine bottle air remover to keep wine tasting new for up to 10 days! Enjoy fresh wine night after night without having to open a new bottle.

Use an included wine bottle stopper in combination with the wine pump vacuum. Just insert the vacuum wine stopper into the bottle and pump until you hear the patented "click". The "click" signals an airtight seal.

This wine vacuum pump and stopper set includes 4 wine stoppers for wine bottles with a universal fit.

All of Vacu Vin's wine savers, vacuum pumps, bottle stoppers and wine pourers are Made in the Netherlands. Just look for the original Vacu Vin logo to be reassured your product is authentic.

Our wine sealers for wine bottles can be reused as many times as you'd like - and are dishwasher safe. Additional stoppers can be ordered separately if needed in the future.

these are super handy & do a great job of keeping wine fresh for at least a couple days after opening the bottleLove this! It saves my unused portion of wine and works great every time.I drink wine frequently and want to ensure my open bottles stay fresh. This does the job. I like that there are two corks, so I always have a clean available. This is a minimum cost, excellent way of saving that half finished bottle for another day: mind, not for another week but a for good night or two.Being a solo wine drinker in my family, this little gadget really seals with a vacuum that keeps my wine fresh much longer than other bottle stoppers that I have used in the past and very easy to use. This Vin is much better than my old one. It clicks when the air is out of the wine bottleWorks great on 2 different cork types; old style gray and new style purple and blue. A Replacement for a 10+ year old Vacu that finally quit working.Ease of use, like the click telling you it's good to go, easy to release.Have you ever wanted just one glass of wine, but felt compelled to drink the whole bottle just because it’s open? The Vacu Vin solves that little conundrum admirably, and stops you looking like a lush!An open bottle allows air in, and the air oxidises the wine into acetic acid (vinegar). If you can remove all the air and stopper the bottle, no more oxidation, and the wine will keep for a few days. The way it works is really simple. Take a stopper, which is made in two parts, and wash it, shaking out the water afterwards. Reassemble the top and bottom parts and jam it firmly into your open bottle like a cork. Then take the pump and push the open end onto the top of the stopper, making sure you hold it down and grip the top of the bottle too. Then gently pump the plunger up and down a few times until you hear a distinct clicking sound. That’s it. The air has been removed from the empty space in the bottle, forming a vacuum, and anchoring the stopper into place. At first it looks like the stopper isn’t in properly, but if you try and gently tug it upward, you will feel the vacuum resisting. To release the stopper, push the rubber knob in the centre over to one side and you will hear the vacuum seal break with an audible hiss. Pour yourself a drink and reseal the bottle again. The instructions are pictorial and not that explanatory, but the Vacu Vin is hardly difficult to use. A little care the first couple of uses and you’ll be fine. Try to grip the bottle neck and pump end together with one hand vertically, and don’t tip the pump, otherwise you will not create a seal. I’d also advise not doing this on a slippery surface. The first time I tried my bottle slipped on the wooden kitchen table, which would have made quite a mess as the bottle was of course open. Pumping the bottle on a placemat gave it enough grip. After you have finished your bottle, wash and dry the stopper before storing, just so that you always have a clean one straight out of the box.I tested the Vacu Vin on a bottle of red wine, pouring a glass after uncorking, then sealing it for four days before pouring another. To my uneducated palate, the wine was perfectly fine and tasted the same as when I first opened it. I did the same thing the following day, and the day after that. The wine still tasted good to me. I would have tried a 7th day, but I ran out of wine!I’m really glad I bought this item, having seen it on YouTube. It allows me to have a single glass of wine when I want it without feeling the need (or using the excuse) to finish the lot because it would go bad. The stoppers are easily washable, and reusable, so this set is good value. Now that I’ve used it, my one regret is that I didn’t buy the set with four stoppers at the outset, but you can buy extra ones later. If you found my review helpful, please click the Yes button to let me know. I’ll be happy to try and answer any questions you have about this product.Works very well. I live alone so often like just one or two glasses with my dinner and hate to waste a bottle! With this it keeps it fresh for much longer. You basically put the stopper in and then pump the vacuum part a few times until you hear a click. At that point it’s at its optimum level. You can then relieve the pressure by moving a small notch at the top of the stopper when you want to open it again. I’m not sure how sturdy it would be if you want to store your wine horizontally or take it somewhere, but it’s ideal for keep a bottle fresh if it’s stored vertically. Definitely recommend for the price.Easy to use and seems durable. Keeps wine really fresh - after 2 days it tastes like it has just been opened. Suspect it will last longer, but I tend to finish the bottle after a couple of days so cannot say. Vacuum seal works well, and takes away (some of) the temptation to finish the bottle the same day.In the day of the screw cap bottle you might think you don't need these anymore but you'd be wrong.Assuming you don't finish a bottle in one go then this wine saver will help to prevent your wine degrading in a way that just sticking the cap back on or wedging the cork back in won't. The major changes that occur in a bottle of wine once opened are mostly down to oxidising of the complex compounds at least in the short term, by removing the air from the bottle you help slow down this process. If you then stick it in the fridge you slow down any changes that are due to microbes.Whilst the wine is never quite as good the day after with the Vacu Vin you will keep it much better than just sticking the cap back on.Great invention i know most people will say left over wine what is this? But yes although i do like to drink sometimes a whole bottle is too much. This little deviced is great insert the bung into the bottle a good few pumps and your wine is fresh for another day.Gone are rge days of trying to push the cork back in or using clingfilm.Easy to use and clean the wine tastes great a good 5 days later.I have yet to be see if its ok after this time but normally the wine is long gone.
